How are cup sizes different across the world? What about bands? Let’s talk about how you make sure you convert your size correctly and know the difference between brands.

If you are over a D or quite larger busted cup - UK brands are most likely to make sizes to the higher end of the size range (Curvy Kate, Bravissimo, Elomi, etc). This makes it especially important to check the chart of where you are purchasing from! A US H and a UK H are drastically different sizes.

These Eva’s Intimates blog posts offer a great, comprehensive job at how to convert:

Cup Size Differences

Cup sizes, no matter where you are, are always denoted by letters. As you go down the alphabet, the cup size increases, but how these cup sizes are classified can vary by country or region.

Everywhere, cups A-D are the same. After that, we start to see some differences. Notably, the UK doubles up letters after F, the US sometimes uses multiples Ds for cups E-G, and the US is the only country with an “I” sized cup.

Band Size Differences

These can get tricky - some places denote band sizes by inches, some by centimeters, and some by dress sizes. Again, always check the size charts, and reach out to the brand if you have concerns!
