So you want to start wearing bras! Awesome!
Just remember: there’s no certain age that you need to start wearing bras, and there’s no certain size you need to reach before wearing them. They are a personal choice, as they will be for your entire life.
When first starting to wear bras, it’s best to avoid underwired bras for a while, since breasts have the potential to grow very quickly, and you don’t want to have to continue spending money on wired bras every few months. Stretchy options like sports bras, bralettes, and training bras from department stores are great starter pieces. Molded cupped and non-wired options are also great during development.
Remember: the only breasts you need to worry about are your own. Your size, shape, and rate of development is normal and valid, and you shouldn’t worry about anyone else.
