My size came out to a D/DD/F+, and there’s NO way my breasts are that big.
Contrary to what we’re primarily taught, cup size is not indicative of how “big” your breasts are! The cup size is merely the outcome of the difference that comes from your band:bust. D sized cups on small bands are really not big at all! The idea that some sizes are automatically “big” is patriarchal societal expectations! Check out these two videos for more info!
Why are certain brands (Skims, TomboyX, SxF, etc not featured)?
More than likely, because they do not align with my personal ethics or morals to the point where I do not feel comfortable sharing my “endorsement” of them. For example, with Skims, I cannot ignore the mental and physical harm done by the Kardashian’s influence, and therefore cannot knowingly point people towards them. If you love Skims, that’s awesome! I’m not telling you that you should not wear their products, but it’s not something that I, personally or professionally, can partake in. While I love Rihanna and the inclusivity she stands for, I believe SxF’s foundation of “inclusive sizing” is a lie, the clothing does not fit the models, and have issues with its pricing. I try to be honest and upfront, and that’s why some prominent brands cannot be featured here.
Will underwire give me cancer?
No babe, you’re all good. Wearing or not wearing underwire will not cause breast cancer, or any kind of cancer. Neither option is harmful, so long as you’re wearing the correct size in your bra and wearing them safely!
